In 2006 the Georgia Chapter of the ABC implemented diversity inclusion tool for our firm Concept Enterprises & Consulting Services. We were allowed to enter The Emerging Contractor Program equipped with the ABC Resource Notebook and complete access to ABC members as mentors, our firm has grown without measure .
We are a second generation African American women owned and operated firm located in Metro Atlanta, Georgia.
Defining our succession mirrors the very vision of the ABC, our firm procured all contracts based on qualification, capacity, and merit in the private/government sector. CECI is proud of our most visible projects awarded to date:
The Lane Construction Corporation located in Cheshire CT during the 10-28 Runway Expansion at the Hartsfield Jackson Airport in Atlanta, Georgia. Though our firm overcame the challenges associated with not being certified as part of the City of Atlanta EBO Program, this program continues to cripple and handicaps the process for strategic partnering of Prime contractors.
Potts Construction Services located in Conyers, Georgia at Cuscowilla Golf course, Lake Oconee, GA
Attending ABC training programs and seminars reinforced our continuation plans minimizing risk , creating strategic alliance with Major manufactures, supply distribution, and software firms. Our complete usage Module A to F allowed best practices which allowed CECI to move quickly through the start up phase and into a diverse mature business now with the experience as described below:
· Concept Enterprises &Consulting Services ( ABC Emerging Contractor)
o Consulting Design-Build, Conceptual, Division 1 - 16 Scheduling, Hard Bidding, Setting Up Estimating Departments, Estimating (Hardware, Software, Office Layout), Projects Include: Hotels, Condominiums, Retail Shopping Centers, Office buildings, Schools, Jails, Governmental, Airports, Educational Facilities, Shell Contractors - residential /commercial ,Wastewater Treatment plants
· RAA Concrete a subsidy of CECI Concrete Management firm
o Provides ACI certified finishers, basic project management strategies and labor management for commercial projects throughout the U.S. Provide: site concrete , post tension slabs , design build specification for conceptual project , turn key slab on grade forming systems rebar placement. Selective demolition for concrete restoration and remediation for ADA improvements.
· CECI Services a Distributor / Sales of Yodock Products & Re Renter PBS Rentals
o One of the leading supplier of plastic deformable barriers which can be filled with water, sand or other materials to stabilize them. Barricades, Perimeter Protection, fencing and security.
· CECI Sign & Supply / 4 Signs & Supply
o A master distributor of safety and signage supplier located in Atlanta, GA. Our joint collaboration with our manufacturer brings over 60 years experience in the signage and safety supply business. We can provide OSHA safety equipment, project signs, ADA compliance signs interior/exterior, custom sign. FAA signage.
· Concept Enterprises & Consulting Information Services / MC 2 / ICE
o Established marketing agreement with Management Computer Controls Inc. The product, MC 2 / ICE, is an end user tool for estimating, which represents the most complete and user friendly system on the market and is easily integrated in day to day business operations in a fraction of the time it takes to implement other software tools.

The National Coalition for Women of Color in Construction (NCWCC) is the only supporting affinity organization that supports minority women businesses within the construction industry. NCWCC is a (501) C 6 organization established in 2008. NCWCC promotes 21st century sustainability which fosters growth, creates strategic bold national initiatives, and develops pilot educational programs designed to increase business enterprise for Women of Color within the construction industry. The vision of a merit shop organization!. NCWCC success depends on the ABC support in continued diversity tools such as the proposed NCWCC intermediate education program " Emerging Contractor for Women of Color " and seminars sensitive to the disparity levels due from union control over collective bargaining agreement on government projects .
